- 10th class pass plus ITI from recognised institutions of SCVT/NCVT in the trades of Wireman/Electrician/Electronics Mechanic OR

- 12th with Physics & Maths
Commercial Supervisor (Commercial):
- Any Graduate Pass
Senior Section Engineer/Electrical:
- 4 years Bachelor Degree in Electronics/ Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR
- Combination of any sub branch of primary branch of Electronics/ Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized university approved by AICTE.
Technician-III:
- 10th class pass plus ITI pass in Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Wireman/Mechanic (LT, HT Equipment & Cable Jointing) OR
- 10th class pass plus Course Completed Act Apprentice in the trades of Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Wireman/Mechanic.
Assistant Loco Pilot:
- 10th class pass plus ITI Pass in Turner/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle/ Millwright Maintenance Mechanic/ Tractor Mechanic/Wireman/ Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Fitter/Heat Engine/ Instrument Mechanic/ Machinist/ Mechanic Diesel/Mechanic Radio & TV/Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic OR
- 10th class pass plus Course Complete Act Apprentice in the trade mentioned above OR
- 10th class pass plus three years Diploma in Electronics/Mechanical /Electrical/Automobile Engineering OR
